Alexander Ooms has over 15 years of advisory and transactional expertise across a wide range of industries, including numerous capital raises and sell-side M&A assignments. Along with his experience at ClearCreek, Alex’s expertise includes founding HALO Partners (a boutique financial services company); several years of management consulting with the Corporate Strategy Group at PriceWaterhouse Coopers; and operating positions with Universal Music Group and Massive Media (a technology start-up). His professional career includes advisory services to clients in Asia, Europe, Israel, and across the United States.

Alex serves on the Board of West Denver Preparatory Charter School and as an appointed member of Denver's A+ Citizens Committee. Active in education reform, he has published several Op-Eds and made numerous media appearances on education topics.

Alex holds a B.A. from Vassar College, a M.A. from Georgetown University, a MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University, and FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses.

Jim Nollsch combines entrepreneurial experience with a transactional background spanning both corporate development and investment banking.  He has helped numerous firms accelerate their growth through joint ventures, partnerships, capital raises, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic alliances.  Jim's transaction expertise extends across industries from technology to energy, with positions at firms including FMI Capital Advisors and General Capital Partners.

Jim was a co-founder of eCollege (now a division of Pearson Education), and has previously held positions in operations and corporate development for several technology firms. He holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado, and a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Gil Penchina is a serial entrepreneur and current Chief Executive Officer of Wikia.com, a top 100 web site that reaches in excess of 30 million unique visitors per month. Prior to Wikia.com Gil was an executive at eBay for eight years, most recently as a regional Vice President and General Manager for eBay in Europe.  Before eBay, Gil worked at General Electric, Bain & Co., and started two small technology companies.

Gil is an active angel investor in companies including Linkedin, Paypal, Flock, ZipRealty, Plusmo, Coveroo, SiteJabber and many other consumer Internet services. He holds a Bachelors in Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.  

 
 

Fran Seegull is Venture Partner at Funk Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm that invests in clean technology, sustainable living, health & wellness and medical technologies. Previously, Fran consulted to a range of companies with a strong social mission, including National Geographic, NPR West, and several family foundations. She also served as Vice President of Business Development at Novica United, a venture-backed social enterprise that retails and wholesales home decor products made by artisans in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
 
Fran has a Bachelors of Science in economics from Columbia University and an MBA from Harvard University.  She currently serves on the boards of Lucky Earth and the Barbara Lee Family Foundation, and is a Senior Fellow at the Society & Business Lab at USC’s Marshall School of Business.

 

 

Sanjay Dholakia is the Chief Executive Officer of Crowd Factory, where he is responsible for the strategic direction and vision of the company.  Prior to Crowd Factory, he was the Chief Marketing Officer for Lithium Technologies, the leading provider of Social CRM solutions. Sanjay has also served as Senior Vice President and General Manager for SumTotal Systems, and as a consultant at both McKinsey & Company and Andersen Consulting.

Sanjay holds a Bachelors of Science in Economics from the Wharton School  at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

     
 

Lee Reichert heads the Corporate and Securities group for law firm Kamlet Reichert. He has extensive experience in transactional work, including structuring debt and equity financings, and has represented a number of private equity and venture capital funds as well as their portfolio companies. The 2010 Edition of Best Lawyers® recognized both Kamlet Reichert and Lee individually as their top-ranked firm in Denver in the Venture Capital practice area.

In 2009, Lee was reappointed by Governor Bill Ritter for a second term as Chairman of the Colorado Securities Board. Lee received an A.B., cum laude, in History and Political Science from Colgate University, and a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law.

 
 

Mike Higgins is a Partner at Maroon Ventures, a business incubation and professional services firm that focuses on online media and local advertizing.  Mike was previously Executive Vice-President of Interactive for MediaNews Group, the 4th largest publisher of newspapers in the U.S.  Mike also has considerable experience with early-stage companies, as co-founder of interactive agency Indigio (purchased by Bridgeline), an Officer and VP of Sales for Digital Courier Technologies, and Director of National Sales for Mapquest.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Colorado State University.
